CustomerReviews

great knife
Great knife. We Like the material and the design of the handle and the comfortable way it fits your hand, also it is much lighter than our other chef knives which are Chicago Cutlery.

Great knife
I am in love with the 6 inch version, and this is a good supplement for really big cutting jobs. Great balance and sharpness.

Nice price + quality combo
I've been a Wustof snob ever since I could afford them -- about 25 years ago. After reading the Cook's Illustrated comparison about 3 1/2 years ago, I bought the 8" Victorinox. Although I still have my trusty Wustof 6" chef's knife in the block right next to the Victorinox, I have found that I almost always reach for the Victorinox. I can't say it stays sharp any longer than the Wustof, but it does seem to slice a tomato more easily than the Wustof if they're equally sharp. It will be extremely sharp right out of the box, but it dulls like any other after repeated use. As for design, I like the way it rocks and the weight is just about right for me. I wish the handle were a bit more ergonomic, but I realize universal ergonomic perfection is probably unattainable -- we all want something a little bit different.

Best of all, you can buy three Victorinoxes for the price of just one Wustof! It's not perfect, but for the price you won't find any other knife that even approaches its performance.

Very satisfied
I haven't ever owned a "real" chef's knife before, so this has been life-changing. I love it.

The knife seems to be just what I needed for my level of cooking. It has a nice balance and feels good in my hands. It keeps a decent edge, and a small touch up with my steel keeps it sharp. I have recommended it to my son who was asking if I liked it or not. ( yes I do)
